Jane Austen---Life and works
Jane Austen was born on December 16, 1775 at a small village of North Hants. Her father was George Austen, a famous clergyman. She was a very calm girl. Before starting her career as a writer, she had studied Fielding, Sterne, Richardson, F. Burney, Sir Walter Scott, Cowper and Crabbe. She began her carrier by writing parodies and sketches. She lived unmarried till her death in 1817. She died of consumption.
