T.S.Eliot...Life and works
Thomas Stearns Eliot was born on 26 September 1888 inst. Louis, Missouri in the U.S.A. He was a famous poet of the twentieth century. He completed his graduation from Harvard University. After it, he went to Germany and Paris to study. He got married to Miss Vivienne Haigh Wood. By birth, he was an American but he settled in London and became a British subject. he got popularity after the publication of The Waste land in 1922. His great work 'The Waste Land' won him the Dial Award. He was the founder of 'The criterion', a literary review in 1921. He won the Nobel Prize in 1948. He died on 5th January 1965. He was a great modern poet.
